Recitation of a love poem by Rumi: “Looking for your Face”

By March 31, 2017Video

I made this recitation of the Rumi Poem “Looking For Your Face” when I first returned home from the Nada School in 2017. I created this video on my laptop without a lot of technical sophistication, and the audio levels are not too great.  But I was in high creative output mode upon my return, and I was proud of this. The image in the video is from a painting by my friend Morgan, which shows Kundalini energy rising up through the Chakra System.

(Note: the poem is written is a certain mystical style, whereby the “you” in the poem refers to both a particular individual and to God, under the assumption that mystical connection allows us to see the face of god in our own beloved.)
